About Us

Morph Ecological Consultants has been established in order to offer our clients across the East Midlands (and Oxfordshire and surrounding counties) bespoke, high quality ecological surveys and consultancy advice.

Working closely with our network of specialist ecologists we provide a full suite of ecological surveys as well as providing recommendations for and mitigation, compensation and enhancement measures.

Morph Ecological Consultants established in 2020 by Nikki Morton and Steve Ralph. After working at other consultancies for a number of years, we decided that we wanted to start our own consultancy that focuses on what we think is important.

We evolved the company around our core aims, which are always at the heart of what we do:

1. Reliable, Honest and Transparent

We are very upfront that ecology surveys and mitigation measures can be very expensive and timely (often due to the multiple survey visits, and multiple surveyors required to ensure robust ecological data), and we will try to give you an idea of these possible costs and timescales up-front so there are no hidden surprises. We think this really sets us apart from other consultancies.

2. Conservation Focused with a Pragmatic Approach

We treat each site uniquely, as ecological solutions that might be appropriate to one site, may not apply to another. Biodiversity Net Gain is sought on all projects, and we use our professional judgement and years of consultancy experience to ensure that this can be achieved, but is also appropriate to the development or scheme.

3. Provide a Full Service

We pride ourselves on offering a full service to our clients, be they a multi-national corporation undertaking a large project, or be they a home-owner wanting to carryout home improvements. We often find, irrespective of a client’s scale, that it may be the first time ecological issues, or a particular protected species, have been accounted. As such we look to communicate the process throughout projects as clearly as we can, and guide our clients and answer any question or queries they might have.

We don’t want our service to end on the completion of a project. We look to develop relationships with our clients, where you can feel confident to have a chat with us at any point about current or prospective projects with no judgement and honest advice.

CIEEM Registered Practice

We have been awarded status as a Charted Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) registered practice. Through being a CIEEM registered practice, you can feel confident that you are receiving high quality ecological services as we are accountable to CIEEM’s code of practice.
